All those who take part in the ride this year are in with a chance to win a Boardman bike! The thanks of the Wirral Bikeathon go to Chris Boardman for kindly donating a Boardman Bike once again this year.
This year’s Bikeathon will take place on Sunday 11th June 2017. It will be the 19th Wirral Bikeathon and to date the event has raised £880,000 all of which has gone to support the charity 'Bloodwise'. Bloodwise is the new name for the charity Leukeamia and Lymphoma Research. We would love to reach the £1 million mark with your help so please come along and take part with your friends and family on 11th June!
The Wirral Bikeathon is a 14 or 28 mile ride around the Wirral. Arrowe Country Park is the start, mid-point and finish area. When you sign up to enter the event (online entries will be open from 1st March 2017) you will receive an entry pack including a T-shirt, rider's number, map/control card and a sponsor form. Refreshments are available in the start area, Red Room Cafe provides hot food and riders and their familes can enjoy live music which is usually provided by the Peninsula Jazzmen and the Ukulele band.
Bikes and Boards (West Kirby), The Bike Shop (Moreton) and K-Cycles of Eastham continue to support us by providing free bike repair services in the park and at Dovepoint on the prom in Meols on the day of the ride. See below for the many other organizations who we also wish to thank profusely for their valuable support.
